Boat Thieves.

A twelve foot dinghy owned by Mr Noel East was -lost without trace just before the commencement of the present season. The loss was due, however, not to stress of weather but to the activity of sneak thieves. The boat was lying with others on the shore a little downstream from the Rowboat Jetty, and was apparently stolen at night by someone using a motor truck. The bottom boards of a neighbouring boat, which were lying nearby, were also taken. Nothing has since been heard of the missing boat, which was valued at some sixty pounds and was new the previous season. Mr D. A. McLeod had a similar boat stolen under identical circumstances last year.
