Two matches of the first round of thp competition for the Club’s rackets were played on Wednesday resulting as follows : Miss Hare and Mr Quane 50 v. Miss Wigg and Mr Allen 49. Miss Brownlee and Mr Payze 50 v. Miss A. Hare and Mr Harris 45. The courts were very well patronised, members practising hard to get into form. The grass courts are now both in use and play well, but all the courts want re-marking. The loose sand at the back of the courts is also a great drawback.
