An Heroic Ganger.

MELBOUitNE, September 13. MB Muib, a railway ganger, of Horsbam, performed a deed of heroism on Saturday, while in charge of ballast train. Going round the curve he saw a little child standing on another line on which a passenger train was travelling at the rate of twenty miles an hour. When the engine of the advancing train was within fifty yard of the child. Muir jumped from the train and managed to pick up the child and reach safety before the passenger train passed over the spot.
