A new Hall will be required to keep pace with the times. Local “J. L. Sullivan’s” still practising the noble art three or four times a week.
The roads have much improved as a result of a week’s fine weather.
The Sawmill has closed for a few days on account of the flood,
The Flaxmill paddocks are full of fibre, a large supply of green flax coming to hand.
The Creamery ia working away every other day, and the supply is rapidly increasing. Messrs Milligan’s and Curtain’s milking machines have beep fixed up. Mr Bell, on Walker’s old place, will be milking a large herd. Flying Machine : Waitoa ha 3 also experienced throes of interest as several times the flying machine has been seen hovering over our mud-water-roads. Our schoolmaster, Mr McLean, returned yesterday, looking much improved for his holiday, during which time the school has been ably conducted by Mr Nuttall and Mias Taylor.
