AUCKLAND MATCHES.
Aecklakd, June 12. The Rugby football district championship matches were advanced another stage to-day. The weather xvas unpleasant, but despite this fact the first meeting this season of the City and Ponsonby teams attracted an attendance of about 7000. Ponsonby won by 17 points to 7. The results of the other senior matches were: Grafton beat University by 16 points to 3, and North Shore defeated Parnell by 6 points to 3.
