Concert at Elstow

A school concert was held in the Elstow school on Tuesday evening, and was well attended. The building was decorated with ferns and cabbage trees and no trouble was spared to make the concert a Success. The opening address, “ Welcome All,” was recited by a little girl; and the programme, though not a lengthy one, was very good for the small number of school children. The drill to music merited prolonged applause. When the programme was through the billy was found boiling and the mothers passed round refreshments which they had kindly provided. Old and young then joined in games in the moonlight. All seemed to heartily enjoy themselves, and left for home about 10.30 in the best of spirits.
