WEDDING.

MOOEE-SPENCE. A wedding that created a good deal of local interest was solemnised at St. Mark’s Church, Te Aroha, on Tuesday last, the contracting parties being Mr Phillip Moore, a partner in the firm of Messrs Moore and Pitt, solicitors, Nelson, and Miss Amy Christina Spence, youngest daughter of our respected fellow townsman, Mr George Spence. The nuptial knot wag tied hy the Rev. P, Cleary. The bridegroom was attended by Mr C. Maginnity, of Nelson, as best man. The bride looked very nice in a white lustre dress, trimmed with handsome embroidery and wore the customary veil and orange blosso up, she also carried a pretty shower bouquet, and wore a gold bracelet with amethysts and pearls, a gift of the bridegroom. Miss EF. Bee e ; , of Qishorn p , was the bridesmaid, she wore a handsome cterae dress, with satin trimmings, and stylish hat trimmed with white lilacs and pretty green Laves. She carried a bouquet and wore a gold bracelet with pearls, a gift of the bridegroom. While the ceremony was being performed the happy couple stood beneath a prettily arranged arch. After the Register had been dflly signed the party }eft tfip Church tp, the strains of Mendelssohn’s Wedding llfapch, nipely played by Mrs Hlajr. The youqg couple \yeye St the Church do,oy by showers of rioe, rose Jeayes and good wishes. 4 sumptuous wedding breakfast was given hy the Mayor and Mayoress (Mr and Mrs E. L. Somers) at the Ipit Springs Hotel, The usual toasts were given and responded to.

The happy couple left for Rotorua and Auckland, where the honeymoon will be spent On Monday evening Miss Spencg enteitained her numerous friends to a scial evening at Domain Tea Kiosk, where q most enjoyable time was spent.
