PROGRESSIVE EUCHRE TOURNAMENT. Tiie committee of the Fire Brigade are leaving no stone unturned to make Thursday evening’s tournament the most successful ever held in Te Aroha Tickets are selling rapidly and a bumper house is expected. The prizes, which there are three gentlemen s and three ladies’), are on view at Mr 11. Jackson’s shop. Besides the euchre tournament a number of instrumental and vocal items will be given before the euchre and between the short wait of cards and supper. The following have kindly consented to give items : —Selections, by Mr Mein man’s orchestra ; sqng, Veteran Fireman Maxwell (by request) ; cornet solo, Fireman Buchan ; song, Fireman Jennings ; recitation, Fireman Walker.
