Mayoral Elections.

Auckland, April 21. Mr C. D. Grey, has been returned unopposed as Mayor of Auckland, and a similar honour has been paid to Mr Geo. Sayers, who is the only candidate nominated for the office of Mayor of Grey Lynn for another year. Mr Oliver Nicholson has been also returned unopposed for another term as Mayor of Mt- Eden. At Newmarket there is a contest for the M

ayoral chair between S. Gh Clayton and Ernest Davies ; at Devonport also, W. Handley contests the chair with T. W. Cranch. Parnell arid Onehunga nominations do not close until to*morrow.
