Canadian Premier’s Opinion.

Ottawa, April 20. Hon. Louia Phillippe Brodeuer, Canadian Minister of Marine, speaking at Montreal with reference to the recent visit to England of himself and Sir Fred W. Border, Minister of Defence, to consult with the admiralty in naval defence of Canada said, “We want no militarism, but our better stand as a nation brings new obligations. We have won power ; make treaties where we are concerned, and can claim that we are i a nation with a nation’s responsibilities. We must therefore begin to defeat territory equally on land and sea. ”
