LORD CHARLES , FORD’S OPINION.
A STARTLING STATEMENT
London, April 20. Admiral Lord ..Charles Beresford, who has just retired from Command of the Channel Fleet, inAvriting to the Navy League Meeting at Bournemouth, wished the League every success in its endeavours to arouse the nation to a sense of the grave danger which had arisen as a result of the increase of naval armaments. “If the country knew the real truth, ” he continued, “ there would be a panic. ”
