Waihou Athletic Sports.

The annual meeting of the Waihou Athletic Club’s Spor s to>k place on Monday in Mr G. Lewis’ pa id >ek, Waihou Beautiful weather prevailed and there wis a large attendance of people from Auckland, Th 1 mes, Waihi, Paeroa, and surr mnding districts The various officials worked bard to make the meeting a sue cess and need! ss to say the public were not disappoiuied as the meeting was one of the most sue 'ossful ever held under the Club

Mr Rice proved to be the right man in the r»ght place getting the events off so that settlers and visitors got home in good time. The Karangahake Br ss Band were in attendance and enlivened the proceedings with a choice selection of music which was duly appreciated bv the crowd Messrs Taylor and Ross acted as Judges and Mr iW. JR. Johnstone proved that he was no novice at 1 lit* game of starting, the old vet> rau Bob getting them off in g led style.
