During the last few years it has been found that what has been known as the Upper Thames Circuit has been too scattered to be workable from one centre It consisted of districts including Waihi, Paeroa, Romata, Netherton, To Aroha and Morrinsville up to Mamaku. At the last general Conference a division was agreed to which makes To Aroha the head of the Upper Thamos Circuit including districts of Morrinsyille to Mamakll.
The first quarterly meeting of the new circuit was held on Tuesday evening. Rev. Mr Dukes, the retiring superintendent, occupied the chair. There woro present Messrs W. S. Allen, J. Alhn, Bridgman, Hubbard, Stanley, Horn, Rayner, Perrott and Styles, also Mesdames Rridgeman and Rlencowe. A considerable amount of important business was transacted which will facilitate the working of the new Circuit.
The following officers were appointed ; -Mr W. S. Allen, Senior Circuit Steward ; 0. Rayner, Secretary to quarterly meeting and Junior Circuit Steward i Mrs Brldgeman, reporter to tiro (< Outlook.”
Asnn indication of the extent of the work done in the district it has been found necessary to appoint a second Home Missionary to this district, Mr Featherston who came from the Sonth to fill this important position has the reputnliod of being a good worker and a man of great experience in Home Missionary work.
Mr Feathersfan will arrive in a days to tnko up his work in the new districts.
