The ceremony was performed by the Rev. H. Marsh, of Thames.
The bride was prettily dressed in white silk with veil and orange blossoms. Her bridesmaids were Mere Wiremu and Martha Hirawani, the latter a niece of the bridegroom. After a Choral ceremony in the Maori Meeting House, which was prettily decorated with white chrysanthemums, the happy couple were bhowered with rice and flowers by their many friends. After the ceremony the gu'sts were treated to a very good wedding breakfast in the open air in genuine Maori fashion, while the sun shone brightly upon them. Every credit is due to Mr R. Parr, clerk of the course, for the manner in which he got the various events off, and the efficient mancer in which the general duties were careied out.
