ITEMS OF LOCAL INTEREST At Wednesday's meeting of the Board of Governors of the Thames High School, the undermentioned business of local interest was brought forward : —Board’s Endowments — The Valuation Department wrote : “ I have to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 4th instant re the unlet portions of the Board’s endowment at Waiorongomai. I would be obliged if you could forward me a plan showing the sections to enable me to suDply the valuations asked for ; also a list showing the sections and the names of the lessees would be of great assistance. I may say that it is the intention of the Department to revalue the whole of Piako County next year, so that if you could wait till then you would receive a notice showing valuation, and also sections occupied and unoccupied.” To stand over for the present.

The Secretary of the above wrote : “ I have just received from our mine manager the enclosed plan showing the position of residence and office on section 25 and battery an battery site. I think you expressed a desire to have this information for office purposes, and I would be pleased to have the plan when you have copied the information. No directors meeting has been held since my return to town, but I feel confident you can have a cheque for in exchange for permission to surrender sections 13 and 26 as from Ist January last.”
