Bowling.

The local bowling- green was well patronised on Saturday afternoon, both residents and visitors enjoying this increasingly popular pastime. Apparently the Tourist Department—who are determined to see that Te Aroha is not neglected in any way:— have determined to lay down another bowling-green in the Domain before interfering with the present one. A competition to decide the first holders of the Goldfields’ challenge stars will be held at Paeroa on Saturday, 20th inst. Teams from Thames, Te Aroha, Karangahake, Waihi, and Paeroa will take part in the contest. On Saturday, 27th inst., a match between Paeroa and Thames will be played on the Paeroa green.
