Cricket Match.

MORRINSVILLE V. WAIORONGOj MAI. The cricket match played here on Saturday, resulted in a win for Waiorongomai by 15 runs on the first innings. The match was conspicuous for the small scoring in the first innings, Morrinsville 33 ; none of the players getting double figures: V. Beeson taking 7 wickets for 10 runs, George 3 wickets for 9, also bowled well. Waiorongomai replied with 48, wanting two runs when the last man went in. They proved equal to the occassion and also added 15 more. T. Aitken 10, V. Beeson 10, reached double figures. May 6 wickets for 23 runs, and S. Allen 3 for 19 bowled well. Morrinsville soon got going in their second attempt, knocking up 09 for two wickets.

The innings being then declared aud closed, Humphries 46, not out, May 12, notout, and Turnbull 15 did well. V. Beeson 2 wickets for 18 was the only bowler successful with fifty minutes to go and 54 runs to get. Waiorongoma showed good sporting feeling by quickl getting to the wickets, and bad lost six wickets for 22 runs when time was called. V. Beeson with 5, not out, being top scorer May 3 wickets for 10, and Neels 2 for 6 bowled well. The ladies with their usual kindness provided afternoon tea, which was much appreciated.
