We quote—Extra stout ox, 7d to 7fd; stout do., fijd to 63d ; medium do., s|d to Gd ; light do., 5d to 5.1 d; cows’, best lines 4|d, good 4§d to4jd, scored 4jdto 44d ; kips, 3£d to 4§d ; calfskins, 4|d to stigs,’ 3d to 3|d. Sheepskins : The market is brisk. Best butchers’ skins, large to 5s 6d, good 4s to 4s 6d, small 3s 3d to 3s 6d ; pelts and lambs’, Is 6d to 2s lOd. Tallow: Ihe market is firm. Best mixed, to 255; good, 22s 6d to 23s 6d ; inferior, 18s fid to 21s 6d ; rough fat, 14d to l|d. Bones/ £4 15s. Horsehair, Is 3d to Is Bd. "Wheat : The market is very firm at 5s to 5s Id per bushel ex store Oats : The market has been recently heavily stocked and is now worth 2s 2d ex wharf for faired-sized lines. Maize : Very little is offering, selling at 4s lOd to 4s lid ex store. Chaff: Local supplies are coming forward freely. The market is weak at £3 10s ex rail per truck load. Bran and pollard : Fairly well supplied with bran and firm at £4 15s Pollard—Stocks are very light. Present values, £6 15s to £7 ex store. Potatoes: Good samples are worth £4 ; plentiful supply. Onions : Slow of sale at 6s to 8s per cwt. Butter: Selling freely. Fiist grade registered, B£d ; first grade dairy, 8d to B£d. Cheese : Farmers’, 5d to 5Ad. Fungus : Selling freely at 4fd. Horses : Owing to Friday being a public holiday we held no horse sale at the Durham Yards on that date. Cattle : At the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday cattle of all descriptions were again yarded in full numbers. Dairy cows sold at from £3 10s to £6 ; heifers, £3 5s to £0 15s; empty cows. £2 2s to £3 Is. Fat cattle were in full supply and sold at scarcely late rates. Oxen sold to 21s per 1001 b and cows 17s to 20s. Steers sold at from £4 17s fid to £9 4a ; cows, £3 10s to £5 15s. Sheep were yarded in full numbers at the Newmarket Yards on Tuesday and showed no improvement in values. Wethers sold at from 9s fid to 14s 9d ; ewes, 7s 6d to 14s ; hoggets, 8s 6d to 12s 9d ; lambs, 9s fid to 12s 9d ; store do., 4s Gd to 8s 9d. Pigs: Porkers sold at from 17s 6d to £1 4s ; baconers, £1 15s to £2 2s ; weaners, 5s fid to 9s 6d.

At Clevedon on Saturday there was a good muster of stock of all descriptions, which s Id under a steady competition at ruling rates. Dairy cows sold at from £3 17s 6d to £5 Pis 6d ; heifers, £3 2s fid to £4 7s fid ; empty cows £2 to £3 15s. Sheep were jarded in more than the advertised numbers and sold at Newmarket rates.

Country sales : At Kaihu on the Ififh ult there was a good muster of stock of all descriptions, which met with re«dy sale, dairy cows being specially sought afer. At Tangowabine there was a small muster, all of which sold. At Arapohue thme was a full yarding. Bidding was brisk for all clashes excepting fat stock. Sheep were dull. At baupo there was another, full yarding, all of which sold at ruling rates. At Maungaturoto there was an average yarding. Stock were again inquired after, but sheep were dull of sale. At Kaiwaka there was a small muster only. Sheep met with better sale at this centre At Warkworth there was a good average yarding of all descriptions of s.ock. Bidding was brisk, especially for young steers, which were wonted. Dairy cows were dull of sale. We quote for these sales : Fat cows, from £4 2s fid to £5 ; grown steers, very fresh and forwark, £6 to £6 7s fid ; two tb three-year steers. £3 5s to £5 4s ; 18-month to two-year steers, £2 to £3 4s ; tuiry cows, £3 10s to £6 12s fid. Sheep—Fat wethers, 11s to 13s fid; fat ewes, 9s to 12s fid ; cull ewes, to 3s fid ; fat lambs, 6s to 8s fid ; others. 2s fid to 5s fid. Horses were rather dull of sale, nothing special being offered.
