Piako County Election.
THE NOMINATIONS. Only two seats are to be contested in connection with the above election, which takes place on Wednesday next, 27th The following gentlemen have been elected unopposed:—C. Manuel, Morrinsville Riding; W. P. Chepmell, Walton Riding ; T. Bellamy, Waitoa Riding and . John Brady, Te Aroha Riding. For the Waibou Riding Messrs J. B. Thomas, and Michael O’Donoghue have been nominated, while Messrs T. Hanna, W. T. W. Hughes and J. Orr are out for Manawaru. The candidates and the nominations arc as follows : —Manawaru — Orr, James, nominated by H. H Osborne and W. A. Wrigbt. Hughes. William T. W., nominated by Alf Steele and Arch Coulter. Hanna, Thomas, nominated by Alfred Scherer and Joseph Scherer. —Walton— Chepmell, William, nominated by Frank Washbourne and James Bell. —Waihou — Thomas, James 8., nominated by Peter Gilchrist and Charles McKinley. O’Donoghue, Michael, nominated by John Rowe and John Lennard. —Te Aroha — Brady, John, nominated by B. Montague and Wm. Newsome. —Waitoa — Bellamy, Thomas, nominated by Peter , A. Svvcey aud Hugh Magill. —Morrinsville— Manuel, Charles, nominated by N Neilsen and Alex Bell.
