Waihou Tennis Club.
OPENING DAY,

Tim above Club held its opening day last Saturday when quite a large number of tennis enthusiasts were present, there being visitors from To Aroha, Waitoa, Waiata, and Morrinsville. Afternoon tea was provided by the ladies or the Club and greatly appreciated by the visitors, The court was formally opened in a neat and appropriate speech by Mr E. Glynn-Lewis, the President. The following sets were played during the afternoon : , Miss W. Schirer and Mr T. Taylor v. Mi-is Manuel and Mr Binstead, 1 6 Miss A. Schirer and Mr Jordon v. Mrs Seville and Mr Payze, 6 Miss Lane and Mr Torrens v. Miss Walker and Mr R. Farrow, 3 6 Miss Scott and Mrs J. Farrow v. Mrs Brayshaw and Mr Mears, 6—2 Mrs Marshall and Mr Percy v. Miss Cook and Mr G. Farrow, I—6 Miss Farrow and Mr Weir v. Miss Voysey and Mr Kimber, 3 —6 Miss Garrett and Miss Burke v. Miss Voysey and Miss H. Taylor. 2 4 Miss Scott and Mr Taylor v.
