New Waihon Goods Shed.
The following reply has been received from Sir Joseph Ward by Mr W. Abbey, in response to telegram sent as instructed concerning the above subject ir—W. Abbey Esq., Farmers’ Committee,Waihou* Tom telegram advising me that at meeting of farmers, protest was made against delay in making new goods ?bed. I authorised this work some considerable time ago and on enquiry from Kaliway Department I find that it is m progress, but there has been a difficulty in obtaining suitable suitable timber for all Railway Works, and in addition the pressure at present in connection with the opening of the Main Trunk Railway to Auckland has prevented the work being done earlier, there will be no unavoidable delay in carryiag out my promise —-J. Cr. Ward.
