OOMIO OPERA.
As regular as clockwork, Mr Charles Cooper, the pioneer entrepreneur of moving picture shows in the Dominion, sends one of his companies to Te Arohu, and on each occasion our local playgoers flock to witness his excellent programmes. It is now some time since Mr Cooper last visited Te Aroha. For Tuesday next, in the Public Hall, a programme has been arranged, including the latest and greatest importation in the way of moving pictures, viz., Gilbert and Sullivan’s famous comic opera, “ The Mikado, which will be faithfully shown in living natural colours, showing the production as performed by leading artists at the Savoy Theatre, London. By an especial the actual voices of these - artists will be reproduced, and patrons .will have an opportunity of The Lord High Esiutioner.’Mfit Willow,” “Three Little Maids,” and other popular items as by the leading comic opera artists world. The film is coloured, snd is very highly spoken of by the press of the Old Country and of the Dominion. In addition of “ The Mikado,” an excellent film of Lewis Carroll’s famous pantomime, “ Alice in Wonderland,” will be shown, and many excruciatingly funny subjects. The management is arranging for an engine to drive the company’s own dynamo. Tho season is limited to one night only.
