Phil Walsh Company

TO-NIGHT To-night, at the Public Hall, “ Conn the Shaughraun ” Boucicault’s, great Irish play of heart interest, will be produced in every detail by iMr Phil Walsh anj Company. Mr Walsh and Miss Eva Marius-Paigne will appear in the leading parts and will be ably supported by the talented members of the Company. As “ Conn,” Mr Walsh appears in one of his greatest roles, witn a flow of real Irish wit that can never be excelled, and a touch iof pathos that becomes* and is natural in the bright “ Bhoys ” of the Emerald Isle, so says a leading “ Daily” of Australia. Special scenery has been painted for the play by Mr Walsh and neAV songs will be introduced during the intervals by the members of the Company. An innovation on the American principal which provides amusement between the acts, introduced by Mr Walsh. The Te Aroha Band will receive 10 per cent of the gross takings from Mr Walsh, for the benefit of their funds. As the prices are popular no doubt a large audience will be present to-night to witness the trials and adventures of “ Conn the Shaughraun.”
