VISIT TO AUCKLAND

OFFICIAL PROGRAMME

The following is the official programme so far arranged by the Government Commissioners and the local Reception Committee for the entertainment of the American fleet Sunday August 9.—Official visit of Admiral to Governor.

Monday, August 10. Landing and official reception at wharf by the Prime Minister and members of the Ministry, when the Admiral will be presented with a souvenir of the visit from the people of New Zealand for transmission to President Roosevelt. A souvenir will be presented to the Admiral. A procession will then be formed to the Military Hall, where the Mayor will present the address"of welcome. Monday afternoon. —Review of troops. Evening; Official banquet. Tuesday, August 11. —Mayoral reception; State ball at night. Wednesday, August 12. —Races at Ellerslie; departure at 3 p.m.,of the officers of the fleet for Rotorua. Thursday, August 13 —Visits to thermal sight. 1 Friday, August 14. —Return to Auckland.
