The monthly meeting of the Te Aroha Band of Hope takes place in, the Public Hall on Tuesday evening next, at 7 30 On Sunday morning a children’s service will be held at St. David’s Presbyterian Church. Parents and friend are invited- In the evening the Rev J. E. Ward of Taumarunui, will preach* Subject, “ The Prodigal Son.” The secretary of the gymnastic club wishes to acknowledge with thanks the following donations : J. A. Young, Esq. The Waihou Branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union meet in the Hall, Waihou,. on Tuesday next, 12th inst., at 7.30 p.m. Chief Ranger Spratt, of the Auckland Acc'imatisation Society, arrived in Te Aroha yesterday, with 2,000 yearling trout, for further stocking the Waihou River. The fish were released at the mouth of Lipsey’s creek; also in the vicinity of the Northern Steamship Company’s wharf. The local Rod and Gun Club made all arrangements for the dis tribution.

The concert in aid of the Methodist Church Trust funds, to be held at Waitoa on Wednesday evening next, is to be a first-class entertainment. A real good programme is to be submitted, and refreshments will be provided. A conveyance will leave Johnson and Gwillim’s stables at 630 pm., for Waitoa, returning after the concert.
