AMERICAN MESSAGES. •The Extension Cable Company advise that in consequence of the strike of telef* raphi ts telegrams for all offices in the United States, except Nety York and Boston, are' subject to delay and may only be accepted at the sender’s risk. The Pacific Cable Company advise that a batch of American messages for New Zealand would arrive at Bamfield by mail at 9.20 a.m. yesterday/ These messages should reach New Zealand by noon. Referring to the bi weekly service arranged for American cablegrams, the postal authorities are advised that the mail for Seattle will close at Bamfield Creek on Mondays an 1 Thursdays at 9.30 a.m. (New Zealand time)
