Valentine Picture Entertainers.
J fter an absence of about three months the above company, who are becoming so well known for* their dean and wholesome entertainments, renewed their acquaintance with a Te Aroha audience in the Public Hall on Thursday evening last, and produced one of the {finest living picture entertainments it has been the pleasure of a Te Aroha audience to witness. Unfortunately the night was cold and stormy and the audience was a small one, but those present were not slow in showing their appreciation of the bill provided. The pictures were of a varied character, which were very interesting and instructive, amongst which were “A Day from a Collier’s Life,” “ Tramps in Clover,” “ Little Ned and the Burglar” “ Scenes in New York Harbour,” “ Lost in the Snow, ’ Captured by Brigands,” etc.” most of which had Hhe merit of being new to a Te Aroha audience. Miss Ester Norton delighted her audience with her brilliant execution on the piano, while, the same lady, with Mr C Valentine, added to the enjoyment/ of" the evening with a mandoline duet. The singing of an illustrated song, entitled Sister,” by Mr Shaw Valentine, was much appreciated, and Mr C. Valentine’s comic contributions were well received. Without going into details, we have no hesitation in saying that the Valentine Entiriainers are worthy of a good reception and a full house wherever they appear.
