AMENDMENT BY THE LORDS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.). LONDON, Yesterday. In the House of Lords, Lord Methuen moved for the omission of clause 2 of the Army Bill, forbidding 1 ounty associations to give financial aid to cadet corps jin elementary schools where the boys are under 12. After Earl Roberts, the Earl of Rosebery, and the Marquis of Lansdowne had supported the motion, the House divided as follows :—-
For the motion ... 130 Against ... ... 31, The Under-secretary for War -£the Earl of Portsmouth) said the aniendiraplied a breach of the financial rights of the House of Commons.
