A Smart Move.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Thia DayThe dissatisfaction among conductors of the Tramway Company with the recent award of the Arbitration Court, has resulted in a development causing serious public inconvenience. Certain resolutions were passed at two meetings from employees, and conductors are now limiting the passengers carried to the licensed number, and as the cars under ordinary circumstances having been incapable coping with the traffic in the busiest parts of the day the situation is all the more serious. The position is that the men claim overcrowding is against the law and the cause of shortage in the cash and tickets which they have to make good. The Trades and labour Council support the tramway men and urge the City Council to fine the Tramway Company for not supplying enough cars.
