(-By Telegraph— Press Association.) ~ ■ HASTINGS, This Day. <Thfi Hastings winter meeting opened under adverse conditions, rain fell during the night but cleared for the first race and the course was very heavy. The attendance was fair. The following are the results :
Wakakire Hr ck Hurdles.—Matako kairi I, Filsou 2, Cavalcade 3. Dividends, £2 2s and £2 6b. Winter Hack.—Reservoir 1, Tangaroa 2, Hinupai. 3. All started, won by a length. Dividends, £1 6s and £l -4s. P ? Ladies’ Bracelet —First Foot 1, Mnku 2,‘Hipporofla 3. Dividends £l3 and £3 2s.
Steeplechase. Eclair 1, Hutana 2, Nadador 3. Comfort fell and Eclair took the lead five furlongs from home and won easily. lime, 7min 7 1-5 sec. Dividends, £3 and £2 !2s. Hawke’s Bay Hurdles. Pushful 1 Prospector 2, Creu- ot 3. A good race, won comfortably. Dividends, £2 19s. The winning double, Eclair and Pushful, paid £2(KLBs. Scurry Hack.— Greenleaf 1, Tarina 2, rabi.3. Mon all the way. Dividends, £5 18s and £2 15s.
