Waitoa.

(Our Own Correspondent.) A farewell in the form of an afternoon tea and presentation was tendered to Mrs and the Misses Lamey, by the members of the Waitoa Wesleyan Church and Sunday School, on Wednesday afternoon.

Mrs and Miss Larney, who have acted as Sunday School teachers in connection with the Wesleyan church since its erection some two or three years ago, were the recipients of diamond and ruby brooches from the Sunday school children, the presentation being made by Miss Jessie Walker, a senior scholar. Miss Marion Lamey, who had acted as organist of the church, was presented with a silver coffee service from the con gregation and friends. The presentation was made by Mr Marshall, who acted in the absence of the Rev. Dukes, who arrived too late. Messrs Marshall, S. Bellamy and J Walker spoke in feeling terms of the services rendered to the church by the Misses Larney. and also thanked Mr and Mrs Lamey for their hearty support in connection with the church.

Afternoon tea was provided by the ladies, and done full justice to. The proceedings concluded by singing “ God be with you till we meet again,” Mrs McLeaa acting as organist.
