MATED.
HER EMPLOYERS’ PREMISES QUARANTINED.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This DayIt has transpired that the death of the girl Kitchen, which was believed to have been blood poisoning, was really due to plague. The body has been cremated and the premises in Queen street, where she was employed, placed in quarantine, under police control. Later. The quarantine in the case of Minnie Kitchen applies to her late residence and the business premises in Queenstreet in which the girl was employed. The suspicious circumstances in con* nection with the death of a young girl named Minnie Kitchen, who died rather suddenly on Monday last, have induced the authorities to adopt unusual precautions, - ending the bacteriological examination to ascertain whether the cause of death was blood poisoning. The strictest measures have been taken in enforcing quarantine.

Following on the death on Sunday from acute sepitieaemia of Miss Kitchen, a vourig woman about twentyfive, who had been employed at the same place of business as a typist, developed similar symptoms, and died on the way to the hospital. Strict precautions are being taken to prevent the spread of the disease,
