Hon. R. McNab at Paeroa.

The Hon. R. McNab, Minister for Lands, arrived at Paeroa yesterday from Waihi, and was waited upou .by a number of depitations Mr J. B. Thomas, chairman Waihou branch of the Farmers’ Union, who brought before the Minister tffia - matter of enlarging the Waitoa river in order to give free outlet to the water from the Hungahanga drainage scheme. He also drew the Minister s attention to the necessity for better accommodation at Waihou railway station, and was promised that both matters would he favourably considered.

The Hon. E. McNab held a meeting last night in the Criterion Theatre, which was well filled. This morning the Minister passed through Te Aroha by the early train en route for Morrinsville, from whence he will drive to Tahuna, at which place he will be met by a steam . launch to convey the party down the Piako to Thames this evening. In" '■luded in the party are Messrs S *m®rs and Gavin, who will go the whole trip through the Piako. It is exmed that several deputations will wait upon tho Minister at Morrinsville.
