CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. At the Methodist Conference missionary breakfast yesterday an appeal was made on behalf of the church extension and liquidation of the present debt on the home mission fund of £7OO. Much enthusiasm ‘was displayed, and the debt was practically extinguished by guarantees -from various districts and promises to the amount of £3,000 given in sums from £BOO downwards.
