Had friend “ Boland ” confined himself to his neglected duties he would merit more respect than he does as a poetaster.— I am, etc., 1 , Oliver. “ CHANSON DE BOLAND ” Macsycophunt Boland has entered the fighting zone, With a blast on his “Olivant horn.” So different in valour, so different ia tone, To him of “ Boncevaux ” as to merit our scorn ; For never before has stout “ Oliver ” met, With aspersions so rude and fallacious,” So monstrous, unknightly and ending with threat, The sign manual of a coward aud icious. Oliver.
