M.U. Oddfellows.
The usual fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Hot Springs Lodge was held in the Lodge room, Bewi Scroet last even-* ing and considering the unpropitious weather there was a fair attendance of members —Sick pay was passed to one brother. The usual amount of correspondence was received and dealt with. Bro Sherlock, as chairman of the Annual Social committee reported the progress made by the committee : the arrangements had been placed in the able hands of Messrs Berghofer and Faes. The decorations would be of the beet, games for non-dancers would be provided and an effort was being made to obtain the services of atten dants for the ladies’ room and the soft drinks stall. Mr Savage’s (Hamilton) string band had been engaged, Bro C. Mclnman ieport®l that acting under instructions from the committee ho interviewed the lessee of the Public Hall with reference to providing better sanitary accommodation at the Hall, the lessee had consented to provide the necessary separate conveniences in time for the Oddfellows Social to be held on Friday evening 15th September,
