LEYLAND-TAYLOE. Avery pretty wedding was solemnised at Waihou on Wednesday 16th ius't, when Mr S. H. Leyland, eldest son of Mr W B Leyland of il Matatea,” Ponsonby, Auckland, was united in the bonds of matrimony to Miss Margaret T Taylor, eldest daughter of Mr W A Taylor of Waihou. The bride was attended by two bridesm rids, Miss Alma Taylor, sister of the bride, and Miss Lucy Leyland, sister of the bridegroom, The bride wore a dress of cream silk voile, trained skirt with cream satin panel with over,-lace front, the bodice uith satin yoke and over-lace, was fastened to side with chiffon bow and the.revere were of satin studded with gold buttons. Elbow sleeves edged with ruched ribbon and satin and lace cuffs completed the bodice. Misa A. Taylor, the chief bridesmaid, wore a cream voile dress, accordion-pleated, with vandyked frills on the skirt-. The bodice had vandyked frill, transparen 1 yoke, and elbow sleeves edged with ruched satin ribbon. Miss Lucy Leyland’s dress was of pale grey silk voile with frilled skirt, and the bodice had silk bertha with two frills from waist to shoulder, in the form of

Both bride and bridesmaids rr ied exquisite shower bouquets, tho ift of Miss Leyland. The bridegroom was attends 1 by Mr McGuire who acted as best man, and Mr T. Taylor, brother of the bride, as groomsman. The bride was given away by her father.
The bridesmaids were each presented with a gold brooch sec with opals, presents from the bridegroom. The ceremony was performed by the Rev J. Blight, of fie Aroha. and the Wedding March was afterwards played by Mis- Hazel Taylor, sister of the bride. After the ceremony the guests numbering about foriy, sat down to a sumptuous jwedding breakfast, whon justice was done to the good things, and the usual toasts proposed and responded to. The bride and bridegroom took their departure amid showers of rice and good wishes driving to Morrinsville, en route for Rotorua, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride’s travelling dress was of grey tweed relieved with green, and a hat to match was worn. Mr and Mrs Leyland were the recipients of a large number of handsome acd useful presents, including cheques for £IOO, £SO, a piano, and, from the Leyland O’Brien Timber Company, a handsome silver tea and coffee service and a marble clock.
