His Honor in sentencing prisoner to ten years’ hard labour (Ihe jury, without- retiring, having found him guilty) said the prisoner was a wild and brutal creature, and he had to thank Edward Wilson for pulling him off Constable "Whelan, otherwise he would have been in the dock on a charge of murder, for -which he would assurodly have been hanged.
