Meeting School Excursion Committee.

A meeting of the above Committee was held in the Town Hall on Tuesday evening last.. Present:.- Messrs Knock (chairman),. T- C. Bell (secretary)* Robinson, .Crombie) Hethering • ton, Bossons* Burton, Bygrave and Hodgson. Correspondence was dealt withThe Secretary was directed to write to the Chairman- of the Rotorua Town ■ Board, and School Committee,, a letter of thanks, a copy of which, we give below Te Aroha, 27th Feb., 1900... The Chairman Domain Board, Rotorua, Sib, — I have the honor to-inform-you that, at a meeting of. the Committee of the School Excursion to your Sanitorium, I was instructed to acknowledge the many kindnesses of. the Rotorua people on the occasion of our visit.. : The- people of Te Aroha are deeply . grateful for the efforts made by one and -all to make the trip.a pleasure to the ex- ■, cursionists, and feel that their thanks are specially due to the Domain Board, the • Rotorua Brass Band, and: your popular ■ schoolmaster:. It is hoped that on; some future occasion the Rotorua people will pay TC Aroha a similar visit, when they may rely on the sister sanitorium doing everything possible -to ire turn their kihdhess and consideration. Beia, Secretary School Excursion Committee. , Mr Buxton,.on behalf of the school children, and teachers, thanked the Committee for the trouble they had gone to in carrying out the excursion arrangements he felt sure the child'dren had thoroughly enjpyod the ; outing. ] It was resolved on the motion of (Mr Hethexiugfon, seconded by Mr Burton, that a vote of thanks be given to all the subscribers, also to Mr Menzies for the lemonade, Messrs ! Bowler Bros., for fruit, Mr T. C. Bell, ;for his trouble as secretary,. Mr Crom- • bio fur the free use of the Town Hall for their meetings, and to Mr W. H. .Knock, chairman of Committee} for the prominent part taken by him in to- bring the trip: to such a successful issue.

Both financially and otherwise the excursion turned out a success.
