Our auction sale to-day consisted of 417 hides, 763 skins, and 23 packages tallow. Sheepskins and tallow sold at about late rates. Hides in some cases were not quite so freely competed for Quotations are as follows: Hides: Prime stout ox, ssd to 6sd stout, 4£d to s£d; light and medium, 4£d to 4£d ; cow, 4& to 4fd ; kip, 4d to 4£d ; stags, 3d to 3§d; calf, 5d to s£d.

Sheepskins: Lambs, Is 3d to 2s 3d; pelts, salted, Is 4d to Is lOd. Tallow: Best .rendered 18s 6d to 19s 6d ; inferior, 15s to 16s per cwt. Horsehair; Is 3d to Is 5d per lb ; tails, 2s Id per doz. Maize: Market is depressed. The supplies were exceedingly heavy without any outside inquiries, conseQuently the market has fallen to 2s 5d with a weakening tendency. Oats : Have made a rapid advance, and are now worth 2s 6d ex store.

Chaff: Stocks of old chaff are very light Good stuff has risen to £2 5s at rail. The new will shortly be coming in, but the market will, we think, remain the same.

Butter and cheese : Prime qualities are selling very freely at old rates, poor are neglected.
