Fire at Shaftesbury.
On Wednesday last the late residence of Mr E. Y. Cox, at Shaftesbury, was burned to the ground. The house was occupied by the Messrs Ashwin (late of Paeroa), who have leased a portion of Mr Cox’s estate. The only article saved was the piano, the rest of the furniture being completely destroyed .
