TE AROHA BAND OF HOPE.

(To the Editor). Sib, —Kindly allow me space in your valuable paper to express my sorrow at the want of energy iu the temperance people of Te Aroha, in their allowing the Band of Hope Society, which was in such a flourishing condition in 1894-9535* fall through and become extinct. However, lam pleased to know that, thanks to Miss Powell, a movement is now on foot to revive the old society, and urge every truehearted man, woman, and child, to give it their heartiest support for the future. For the sake of the hoys and girls, this society must be kept moving,! a 3 our hope is in the young. Thanking you in anticipation.—l am, etc., Frank Qaverhill. Linwood, Christchurch. ,
