Jockey Club.
A meeting of the above was held in the Town Hall last night. Present: W. H. Herries, ®Esq. (in' the chair), Gavin, Pavitt, Hodgson, Parr, Smardon, Ferguson, Heatneadyand Sue win (secretary). - _ The Secretary read a list of def aul ters iu the matter of nomination and entrance fees. After a short discussion it was decided that the matter of fees.be left in the hands of th#Chairman andJSecretary. -.1 E Smardon, one of the Stewards, having declined to apologise to A. Storey, as requested, it was decided, in accordance with a resolution passed at. a previous meeting, to erasjg|i& name from the list *of stewards. 1Several offers w-re received from totalisator owners in response to requests from Club* an l tLiifc of Mr Blomfield, to pay off Club's liability £l5O, the amount to Toe repaid in 5 years and 5 per cent interest allowed, by Club for use ofg money, Mr Blomfield allowing B|-per cent on all money passed through tlm totalisator, was accepted. - Messrs Pavitt, Ferguson and Hodg- , son were appointed a Committee to see to the rep'acing of the stables which were recently blown down.
