Wedding Bells.
A Redding which, occasioned! considerable interest to residents of the '• Thames and up- country was celebrated on Wednesday at the residence of the bride’spareuts, Karaka Creek, Thames,, the contracting parties being. M ; ss Nellie: Gibb; -third daughter of Mr J. Gibb, 'and Mr William. JJalton,. secondson of Captain. H Dalton- The Rev ...Si, J. Neill officiated, the bride,, wiio ! looked exceedingly pretty attired in a handsome creme serge and silk trimmings, with the usual wreath and veil, being given away by her father.. Miss i Gibb carried a beautiful, bouquet.made by Miss Scott She was attended by I four- bridesmaids, whom wore very pretty costumes, Miss E McEaren being attired iif A 'pale blue nun’s veiling with Miss Brinkly,. of " wore white hailstonemuslin and sash, and Misses Gibb and Dalton creme nun’s veiling with, gold sashes.: After the marriage. ceremony the wedding guests sat down- to- ah, excellent breakfast, the toast of the health.; of the bride and bridegroom. , being duly honored. In the evening Mr and Mrs Gibb entertained a large gathering of friends (quite a number being from Te Aroha, the bride, who spent several years in the district, being a popular favorite) in St. George’s Hall in honor of the event. The hall was tastefully decorated with flags, interlaced with flowers and evergreens, presenting quite a picturesque appearance. A. most enjoyable time was spent by the company, dancing being kept up with spirit till the wee sma’ hours. f Mr and Mrs Dalton were the recipients of numerous handsome and useful presents.
