Everything very quiet here just at present except the wind, and that blew quite a gale on Sunday very much interfering with the Church goingpr>ple,. as many preferred staying at home tofacing the inclemency of the weather. Yet in spite of the heavy downpour of rain the fires are still smoulderingAija; some of the swamps, and there is very little water at present, in the drains* for the cattle.
