Waitoa Road Board.

The. monthly meeting of the above Board was held at Morrinsville on Saturday last, when there were present : Messrs Chepmell (in the chair), Cribb, Allen and Farmer. Minutes of previous meeting confirmed. Inward and outward correspondence read. Letter from Mr H. Cox, reporting that the planking of the bridge over the Waiharakeke Creek at Wairere is very broken, and one of the approaches to it far too steep. It was decided that the Engineer get the necessary repairs done. A number of applications were received for having alterations made in the Valuation Roll. The alterations will receive attention as far as possible. The collector of rates reported that the rates due by W. Stimpson had bean paid to the solicitor just in time to save a summons. Tenders were received for contracts as under :—No. 1: C. Willis Is 3d per chain; A. Swney Is 3d; C. McGuire Is; D. McCarthy lid (accepted) No. 2 : D McCarthy £29; A Swney £2B ; C. McGuire £2l (accepted). No. 3: D. McCarthy £24 10s; A. Swney £2l 10s ; C. McGuire £2l; C. Willis £l7 19s (accepted). No 4 : A. Swney £35 6s 9d; D. McCarthy £2B 10s; C. McGuire £22 14s (accepted).
