THAMESRAVALSyTtE AROHA

The long anticipated matGh between the representatives of that famous old corps, the Thames Navals, and the Te Aroha Rifle Company took place on Saturday afternoon last at the Butts. TheNavals left Thames at 3, a.ra. on Saturday morning, arriving at Te Aroha at 7.30, and breakfasting at Siaardon’s. Shooting commenced at 2 p.m., and concluded' at 7 o’clock. It was not up to the average, the conditions probably not being too favourable. It is noticeable that Kent is showing consistently fine form.

Refreshments were served, on the ground The Navals returned toThames on Sunday. The following is the result, of the firing:—
