Sir,—There was a remarkable paragraph m the Herald last week in an article discussing, the name of the new Goveihtßonlf'¥teaipri6r, which is to be called; instead of the present 'name'of Hinemoa. The writer says: St-. Theresa never did anything for New Zealand, which -Hinemoa did, for ‘ she swam over at least half of Rotorua lake,' and left a numerous progeny. - *I am not;,, acquainted• witli the. story of HthemAa,; perhaps some of your readers,, want • to know if the humerous progeny were left in the lake, . and if so did they become amphibious Mabries.-—l'* am, etc., '• r l "' SJ.
