[Own Correspondent.] • The general topic of conversation during the week-has been the Sugar Beet I understand several settlers are determihed to give the venture a trial. Our lands here are well suited cultivation. Mr Jbs. Jackson and others giew sugar beet last season successfully, and .are consequently encouraged. There is abundance of feed in this district, and the cows are milking well. The supply of milk to our local factory now reaches nearly 400 gallons daily. The roads badly need repairs,..^.
