MORRINSVILLE
(From our own Correspondent). The need, of a hew public school for Momnsville has been long' felt % The present building has been much overcrowded) and is Very uncomfortable during the hot weather. I understand the Board of Education have decided to commence the. erection of a new building right away.’ This will bo a booh to the juveniles as well as to the teachers. • * The school examinations are over and the children acquitted themselves well. The shearing at Lockerbie continues as the weather permits. There was a minature ‘ shearers, strike,’ but the cause of trouble was removed and work proceeded harmonously. The Rev Prior, of Auckland, lectured' in the Church here on Thursday evening to a large congregation. Mr WV S, Allen occupied the chair.
